Coronation Street's Jodie Ramsey Exposed as Truthteller Leading to Tragedy
Coronation Street: Jodie Ramsey Exposed as Truthteller

Coronation Street's Jodie Ramsey is set to be exposed as the anonymous online troll known as Truthteller, leading to a devastating tragedy in upcoming episodes of the iconic soap. The character, portrayed by Olivia Frances Brown, has been acting suspiciously since arriving in Weatherfield as the long-lost sister of Shona Platt earlier this year.

Jodie's Deceptive Actions

Jodie has stolen various items from residents and recently ingratiated herself into Daniel Osbourne's flat after breaking in. Daniel, played by Rob Mallard, has been struggling after discovering his ex-girlfriend Megan Walsh was a paedophile who groomed a student. Jodie exploited this by spreading malicious lies about Daniel on an anonymous forum, sending him into a dark spiral.

Daniel Discovers the Truth

Spoilers reveal that Daniel will finally realise Jodie is his tormentor when she makes a careless remark while he checks his laptop. Furious, he confronts her about the sleepless nights and depression she caused while pretending to be his confidante. He throws her out and later drunkenly announces the revelation at the Rovers Return, but Jodie feigns innocence and leaves.

Back home, an intoxicated Daniel neglects to feed his young son Bertie. The boy attempts to make his own meal but accidentally starts a kitchen fire. As smoke fills the flat, Bertie escapes, leaving Daniel passed out on the sofa, unaware of the danger.

Daniel's Guilt and Wake-Up Call

Rob Mallard explained that Daniel will be consumed by guilt, feeling he has betrayed his late wife Sinead, who died from cervical cancer in 2019. He promised Sinead he would always put Bertie first, but recent events have caused him to fail. Mallard said, 'It's 100% a wake-up call. He’s completely beside himself, thinking he might lose his child.'

Coronation Street airs weeknights at 8:30pm on ITV1 and streams from 7am on ITV X.
