Coronation Street's Jodie Ramsey, played by Olivia Frances-Brown, was finally exposed as the anonymous online troll Truthteller in Tuesday night's episode. The character, who arrived earlier this year as the long-lost sister of Shona Ramsey, had been spreading malicious lies about schoolteacher Daniel Osbourne.
Daniel realised the truth when he set a private post challenging the troll to meet him, and Jodie inadvertently referenced it. Confronting her, he said: 'It's you. Challenging them to meet me was a private post. Has it been you the whole time?' Jodie tearfully admitted: 'Okay, it was me.'
After being thrown out by Daniel, Jodie immediately targeted her brother-in-law David, claiming he had previously slept with her on the night of Theo Silverton's murder. David denied it, so Jodie returned to the Rovers to taunt Daniel again. In front of the pub, Daniel announced: 'Everybody, this is the Truthteller! AKA my online stalker.' Jodie played the victim and left in tears.
She then convinced Shona to let her stay the night, claiming Daniel had 'had a wobble.' Meanwhile, Daniel passed out drunk at home while his son Bertie accidentally caused smoke to billow through the flat.
Viewers took to X to express confusion over Jodie's motives, with one fan writing: 'Can someone explain the point of this character to me? Nearly half a year on the show and all she’s done is cause bits of trouble for random characters with no real motive.' Another said: 'Oh f*** off Jodie, David has never been interested in you, you twisted f***!'
