Irish singer-songwriter CMAT has won the Best Album award at the 2026 Ivor Novello Awards for her work 'Euro-Country', expressing surprise and delight at receiving such an honour in England. The awards ceremony, held on Friday, saw Sam Fender named Songwriter of the Year, while Spanish star Rosalia took home the International Songwriter of the Year gong.

Fellowships and other winners
Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke and the late Wham! singer George Michael were both given Fellowships of The Ivors Academy, recognising their outstanding contributions to music. Other notable winners included Scottish singer-songwriter Jacob Alon, who secured two awards, along with Kae Tempest, Lola Young, Lily Allen, Calvin Harris, Kano, and Linda Perry. The ceremony celebrated a diverse range of talent across various genres.
