Jeremy Clarkson Regrets Health Scare During Filming of Clarkson's Farm

Jeremy Clarkson has admitted he should not have ignored medical advice to rest after heart surgery, as he was filmed gasping for breath while felling a Christmas tree for the latest series of Clarkson's Farm.

In the second episode of series five, the former Top Gear host was seen lying flat on his stomach hacking at a tree with a saw before conceding defeat. He told the film crew: "I shouldn't have done that."

The 64-year-old had previously been warned by doctors to take it easy following a cardiac scare that he described as "f***ing close". He revealed his doctors told him he was "days" away from a heart attack.

Speaking to Heart Breakfast presenters, Clarkson said he was now "absolutely fine" and had lost weight thanks to "fat jabs". He described the forthcoming series as "the most dramatic one" yet, but declined to give further details.

Clarkson's Farm series five premieres on Amazon Prime Video on June 3.
