Christine McGuinness has told fans she is 'celibate and satisfied' as she addressed her sex life after her split from ex-husband Paddy. The former couple announced their separation in 2022 after 11 years of marriage but continue to live together in their Cheshire family home while co-parenting their three children.
The 36-year-old, who was diagnosed with autism a couple of years ago, spoke on the Big Fish podcast with Spencer Matthews, where she stated that being celibate was not a 'choice' but rather 'just where I am at in my life right now'. She added: 'I want to focus on me. I'm also quite realistic about what I can and can't do.'
Christine, who met her ex-husband when she was 19, said she is not in a rush to date again. 'I've been separated for two years and never had time for myself,' she explained. After a clip of the interview was shared on social media, she wrote on Instagram: 'Celibate and satisfied! Not something I ever thought I'd say!'
Fans were quick to show their support, with one commenting: 'It's quite inspirational to watch you Christine, unapologetic for how you want to live your life.' Another added: 'So sensible Christine! What an amazing mum you are… be kind to yourself too.'
