Chloe Madeley appeared to hit back at her ex-husband James Haskell's mother, Susie, in a cryptic Instagram post on Tuesday. The post addressed dealing with 'other people's cr**' after Susie made comments about the couple's split on the E4 show Celebs Go Dating.

The 38-year-old influencer shared a post on her Instagram Stories that read: 'Does anyone else feel like there are just some people in life who you have to follow around with a dustpan and brush so you can sweep up all the c**p they keep dropping on the floor? Orrrr is that just me? Honestly if you're reading this and you can't relate you're probably a c**p dropper.'

Susie's Comments on the Show
The cryptic post came just 24 hours after the Celebs Go Dating premiere, where James, 41, described his mother as 'an absolute loose cannon' and expressed concern about what she might say. During the episode, Susie launched into a rant about James's previous relationships and offered her opinion on why the marriage ended.
Susie said: 'I'm not sure where he's gone wrong because prior to his marriage, I met lots of lovely girlfriends. Each of them just loved me, which is a bonus. I do have quite a strong opinion on why I think it went wrong. You can't have two stars because you have them competing for the floor space the whole time.'
She added: 'In the past he's been extremely popular. I've seen at rugby matches where elderly ladies have got very close to him. He needs someone who can see the softness of him, coupled with quite a brilliant intellect. He's written seven books. Three of them are on The Times best-seller list.'
James's Support for Chloe
Despite his mother's comments, James revealed that it was Chloe who encouraged him to appear on the dating series. He said: 'I was on the fence, and she encouraged me to go for it. She's a good friend and my co-parent, and we're very transparent with each other. I feel lucky to have that kind of trust and support, it makes everything feel collaborative, and it's a relationship I truly value.'
Chloe and James tied the knot in 2018 and welcomed their daughter in 2022 before splitting in 2023. Since the breakdown of his marriage, James has dated Big Brother star Sara McLean, but the pair split just two days after going public.
James on Co-Parenting
James previously opened up about navigating the split from Chloe, the daughter of Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan. Speaking on This Morning, he said: 'Chloe is an amazing mum, an amazing woman. She is so talented and smart, and brilliant at what she does.' He emphasised the importance of co-parenting constructively for their daughter, adding: 'When you get separated, the priority always becomes the child and your egos don't matter.'
He also noted that many men reach out to him on social media for advice on separation, and he tries to be open about the process. 'You never post about bad stuff. You've got to take everything with a pinch of salt,' he said.
