The Celebrity Traitors is set to return to BBC One and iPlayer later this year with its largest celebrity cast yet. Host Claudia Winkleman will welcome 21 famous faces to the Traitors castle, where they will compete for a cash prize of up to £100,000 for charity. The series, produced by Studio Lambert Scotland, promises a mix of BAFTA and BRIT award winners, social media stars, actors, comedians, and presenters.
The first series of The Celebrity Traitors, which debuted in October 2025, was a major success, averaging 14.9 million viewers across its run, with a peak of 15.4 million for the finale. It became the top entertainment episode across the market since 2016 and the number one series across all genres and platforms in 2025.
The fourth series of The Traitors, which aired in January 2026, also performed strongly, achieving a 12.5 million 28-day average, up 22% on the third series. BBC iPlayer accounted for 6.6 million of those viewers, a 28% increase on the previous series.
The Celebrity Traitors series two (10 x 60) has been commissioned by Kalpna Patel-Knight, Head of Entertainment Commissioning for the BBC. Executive producers are Mike Cotton, Sarah Fay, Lewis Thurlow, and Katy Fox. The series will air on BBC One and iPlayer later in 2026.
