Brooklyn Beckham remained silent on social media while his younger siblings rushed to celebrate their father David Beckham's 51st birthday on Saturday. The 27-year-old hot sauce creator and chef, who publicly distanced himself from his famous family in January, branding his parents and siblings as 'performative', did not post any public tribute.
Family Surprise
In what appeared to be a pointed snub to Brooklyn, his brothers Romeo, 23, Cruz, 21, and sister Harper, 14, joined their mother Victoria to surprise David with an unexpected joint gift. Taking to Instagram, Victoria, 52, posted a clip of the former football star meeting his gift—several hens—for the first time and settling them into their coop on the grounds of the family's £15 million Cotswolds estate.
In the sun-drenched footage, David sported a cowboy hat as he carefully lifted his new feathery friends from their boxes with a huge smile. From behind the camera, Victoria gushed: "It's David's birthday and this is me and the kids bought him, from the boys, they're so pretty!" She captioned the post: "Happy Birthday, we love you so much!!"
Sibling Tributes
Romeo posted a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, sharing two nostalgic childhood photos alongside his dad. He wrote: "Happy birthday dad, love you so much, thank u for everything you do," and "My best mate". David's youngest son Cruz shared two snaps to his Instagram Story showing him and his dad aboard a yacht, writing "Happy birthday I love you xxx." Harper followed suit with an equally touching post: "Happy birthday to the best daddy in the whole world. I honestly could never ask for a better role model too, you are always here for me and I will always be here for you too anytime anywhere have the best day ever, you deserve everything."
Family Feud
This comes after Victoria addressed the feud for the first time during a recent interview with the Wall Street Journal. Without directly mentioning her eldest son, she said: "I think that we've always — we love our children so much. We've always tried to be the best parents that we can be. And you know, we've been in the public eye for more than 30 years right now, and all we've ever tried to do is protect our children and love our children. And you know, that's all I really want to say about it."
