Brooklyn Beckham has faced a fresh wave of online mockery after sharing a cooking tutorial for a bunless burger and chips, with critics urging him to 'get a job at McDonald's'. The 25-year-old son of David and Victoria Beckham posted the video on Instagram on Monday, dressed in a white vest and Inter Miami cap, as he demonstrated how to make a 'Flying Dutchman' using avocado oil from his sponsor, Chosen Foods.
In the clip, Brooklyn sliced potatoes and onions, fried chips in avocado oil, and pressed meat on a grill before assembling the dish. While some fans praised him as an 'incredible chef', the majority of comments were derisive. One user wrote: 'It's burger and chips you melt ....this guy needs a hobby,' while another added: 'You just made burger and chips.'
This is not the first time Brooklyn has faced ridicule for his culinary content. He previously said he 'wishes the haters well' and has continued to post tutorials despite the criticism. The former aspiring photographer, who also tried football and modelling, discovered his love for cooking during the 2020 lockdown and has since launched a pop-up UberEats restaurant.
Brooklyn, who married billionaire heiress Nicola Peltz in 2022, told The Times in January that he is self-taught and never took a cooking class, but is 'obsessed' with watching MasterClass videos. He also revealed that his wife 'can't cook to save her life', and that his first culinary memory was making Super Noodles.
