Bride Files for Divorce Day After Wedding Over Groom's Cake Stunt

A bride has revealed she filed for divorce just one day after her wedding after her husband violated her only hard rule by shoving her face into the wedding cake. The anonymous woman wrote to Slate's Dear Prudence advice column, explaining that she had explicitly asked her partner not to rub cake in her face during the reception.

Instead, the groom grabbed her by the back of the head and pushed her face into the cake, which was planned as he had backup cupcakes ready. The bride immediately told him she was 'done' and walked out of her own wedding. She later filed for divorce the following day.

The bride, who suffers from claustrophobia after a car accident, said she panicked when her head was shoved into the cake. Despite her family urging her to give him a second chance, she stood by her decision. The agony aunt advised her to proceed with the divorce, calling the groom's actions a 'red flag'.

On Reddit, users expressed shock at the groom's behaviour, with one commenting: 'He didn't just not respect her only boundary, he found the worst, most aggressive way possible to violate it.'
