Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have revealed their true feelings about the Epstein scandal by attending a royal wedding, according to a royal expert. The daughters of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson stepped out with the Royal Family earlier this month, surprising many observers.
Royal Wedding Appearance
The sisters attended the wedding of Peter Phillips and Harriet Phillips on June 6, alongside their royal relatives. Despite expectations that they might stay away due to the controversies surrounding their parents from the Epstein files, Beatrice and Eugenie arrived smiling with their husbands. They were even seen exchanging hugs and kisses with other family members.
Expert Analysis
Royal expert Duncan Larcombe told New Magazine that the sisters' actions demonstrate a "the show must go on" attitude. He noted that while the reputation of their parents has been tarnished by the Epstein Files, which revealed Andrew and Sarah's continued contact with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein after his conviction, the princesses are choosing to move forward.
Andrew has consistently denied any wrongdoing, and Sarah has expressed regret over her friendship with Epstein.
Public Appearances
Larcombe commented: "I think it was very surprising, but an indication of how the land lies. The fact they're willing to step out in public, be photographed, seen to be interacting with other members of the Royal Family is a sign that, from their point of view, the show must go on."
It remains to be seen whether Beatrice and Eugenie will attend Royal Ascot this year. The event, which started on Tuesday, has already been graced by King Charles, Queen Camilla, Princess Anne, and Zara Tindall. Newlyweds Peter and Harriet Phillips also attended Royal Ascot on Tuesday.
