BBC Radio 1 presenter Scott Mills, 47, has announced his engagement to partner Sam Vaughan after four years together. The couple shared the news on Instagram on Monday night, with Mills posting pictures of the romantic proposal.
In a heartfelt message, Mills wrote: 'After 4 years together I’m delighted to say we got engaged at the weekend. As @samvaughan89 knows, I always said I didn’t think I would ever get married. But then I met you Sam.'
Vaughan, a brand manager, posted a picture of his engagement ring with the caption: 'The beginning of forever. On Saturday the love of my life asked me to marry him and of course I said yes!'
The couple received congratulations from friends including Radio 1 colleague Greg James, who wrote 'YAAAAAAAAAAAS!!!!', and singer Becky Hill, who called it 'the most wholesome news'.
