BBC Radio Presenter Dave Llewellyn Dies Aged 57

BBC Radio Tees presenter Dave Llewellyn has died at the age of 57 following a short illness. Known for his bright red hair and larger-than-life personality, Llewellyn spent more than 20 years on air, providing traffic updates as the 'eye in the sky' reporter and co-hosting a weekend gardening show.

His daughter Amy described him as 'incredibly modest and generous', adding: 'He always found time for friends and strangers alike. Outside of his work he loved his family and his music. His true talent shone through while he was playing his keyboards, synthesisers and bass.'

Colleagues paid tribute, with breakfast show host Amy Oakden calling him 'kind and lovely', while producer Sarah Robinson joked about his 'worst taste in shirts' but noted he was 'relentlessly cheerful and positive'.
