Great British Bake Off star Sandro Farmhouse has announced his separation from husband Joshua. The 31-year-old, who rose to fame as a finalist on the 2022 series, shared the news with fans on social media, asking for privacy during this difficult time.
Sandro, known for his bench-press physique and affable banter, has since focused on his baking career and charity work. He runs Baking on the Spectrum (BOTS), a baking course for people on the autism spectrum and their families, which he founded during the pandemic as a form of therapy.
The course, which takes place online to accommodate participants who struggle with change, has secured new funding from the Foundation for Future London and will expand to serve up to 500 families next month. Sandro, an ambassador for the National Autistic Society, credits his mother Sandra, who fled the Angolan war when he was two, as his inspiration.
Since Bake Off, Sandro has become a resident baker on ITV's Lorraine, modelled for River Island, and created a five-tiered showstopper cake for Google. He continues to live in east London, where he grew up, and is working with his mother on a business providing homemade soups for the homeless.
