The blind Bulgarian mystic Baba Vanga, known as the "Nostradamus of the Balkans," has sparked fresh alarm with her 2026 prophecies, which include the fall of Vladimir Putin, an alien encounter, and the outbreak of World War 3 before the year's end.
Prophesied leadership shift and global conflict
According to her visions, a new Russian leader will rise in 2026, ending Putin's 26-year reign over the Kremlin. Rather than bringing peace, the leadership shift is said to coincide with a catastrophic global clash, with Russia directly pitted against the US.
Baba Vanga, who died in 1996, reportedly foresaw historic events including the death of Diana, Princess of Wales, and 9/11, which cemented her legendary status.
Escalating nuclear threats from Moscow
The prediction arrives as tensions between Moscow and the West reach unprecedented highs. Putin recently delivered fresh threats at the Valdai Forum in Moscow, warning that Russia would not hesitate to deploy its nuclear arsenal if NATO forces threaten Russian territory, specifically the exclave of Kaliningrad.
"If it comes to a direct attack on the Russian Federation – in this case, we are referring to Kaliningrad, and perhaps other territories as well – the question of the Russian Federation deploying all the weapons at our country's disposal will, of course, inevitably and immediately be on the agenda," Putin warned.
UK warned over military support for Ukraine
The Kremlin leader also fired aggressive warnings directly at Britain over its military support for Ukraine. Tensions exploded after British-manufactured long-range drones were used in Ukrainian strikes deep inside Russian territory.
In a statement, the Russian Embassy in London said: "The United Kingdom is acting as an accomplice and co-perpetrator of the bloody crimes... London's actions will inevitably carry consequences for which it will have to answer."
Alien contact and unproven visions
Adding to the eerie forecast, the mystic also foresaw humanity making contact with life beyond Earth in November 2026, making the upcoming year one of her most dramatic predictions yet.
While her visions remain unproven, the convergence of her prophecies with escalating nuclear threats leaves many fearing what lies ahead for the rest of the year.
