A luxury Aston Martin worth nearly £200,000 was vandalised in the car park of Hampton Court Palace Golf Club in South West London, with the word 'CHEATER' spray-painted on the bonnet. The incident occurred on Monday, 25 May, and police are investigating.
The 2015 Vanquish, personalised with the numberplate 'BD55 BOB', had its windows smashed and roof torn open. A witness reported seeing a masked man wielding a hammer from a rucksack before attacking the vehicle. The car, capable of reaching 201 mph, has been declared a write-off.
The Metropolitan Police were called at around 2pm and spoke to the witness and the car's owner, who was walking his dogs at the time. No arrests have been made, and enquiries continue.
