Following the explosive finale of I'm A Celebrity… South Africa, campmates Ashley Roberts, Gemma Collins, and Scarlett Moffatt have shared their emotional observations on the impact the drama has had on winner Adam Thomas.
Controversial Final
The drama surrounding the All Stars final, which aired last night, shows no signs of abating. Adam Thomas emerged victorious, but his win was overshadowed by tensions with David Haye and Jimmy Bullard during the live show.
Earlier in the series, accusations of bullying were levelled at Adam, which he denied. During Tuesday night's episode, Jimmy Bullard chose to quit, meaning Adam would have to leave by default under the show's rules, as they were paired together. This caused considerable tension in the camp.
However, hosts Ant and Dec announced a surprise twist: Adam was allowed to continue after his campmates agreed it was unfair. When Jimmy shared his version of events, tensions escalated, prompting Sinitta and Gemma Collins to storm off in frustration. Ant also intervened, leading to an emotional reaction.
Emotional Aftermath
Given the drama, it was no surprise that Adam appeared subdued after his win. The moment that should have been joyful was overshadowed by the ongoing feuds.
During the after-show, I'm A Celebrity... Unpacked Live, Ashley Roberts made a heartbreaking observation. She said: "I hope Adam enjoys it. I think he's been through so much, and I just hope he can take a second, because I feel like he doesn't feel he maybe deserves it because he's won."
Scarlett Moffatt added: "He does deserve it. It was hard in there, and he was amazing, and he was a friend to us all. It is really disheartening that he didn't get to have that moment of glory."
Gemma Collins echoed the sentiment: "The best man won! It was positive. What is such a shame about tonight? I'm just going to tell it how it is. We had such an amazing experience in there. We had a ball. It was tough, it was raw, it was hard. But it was fun. I just don't get where the negativity is coming from."
The emotional reactions highlight the toll the series has taken on the contestants, with Adam's victory marred by conflict.
