Ashley Roberts Confronted David Haye Over 'Uncomfortable' Comments on I'm A Celebrity

Ashley Roberts has revealed she confronted David Haye over his 'uncomfortable' comments during their time on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!. The former Pussycat Dolls singer told This Morning hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley that the boxer 'went too far' with some of his remarks in camp.

Roberts said: 'He just kept going and digging a deeper hole... There are points where I did confront him because I thought some of his language was quite shocking.' She added that the campmates tried to 'plant seeds of different ways of thinking' but that Haye's behaviour was 'shocking'.

The comments come after actor Adam Thomas revealed he was left 'broken' by his time on the show, clashing with Haye over his arthritis. Thomas, 37, was branded 'useless' by Haye when he struggled with pain during a trial. The pair also fell out over smuggled chocolate, with Haye suggesting Thomas's portion should be smaller.

Roberts described how the atmosphere became tense: 'Adam was not feeling well in there... David Haye just kept pushing and pushing, and at first you think it's lad's banter but then it's just... it went a bit too far.' She said the female campmates would take moments outside camp to 'breathe together' after the incidents.

Haye also faced backlash for 'fat-shaming' Gemma Collins and for comments about dating a woman 'with the personality of a proper ugly bird'. Roberts confirmed she confronted him about these remarks, saying she thought some of his language was 'quite shocking'.
