Reality TV star James Argent has paid tribute to his former co-star Jake Hall, describing him as 'one of a kind' following his sudden death at the age of 35. Argent, who appeared alongside Hall on The Only Way Is Essex (Towie), shared a behind-the-scenes video on social media capturing a photoshoot they did together four years ago.
In the post, Argent recalled how Hall had organised the shoot after he hit a significant weight-loss goal, saying his friend 'insisted' on it to help him feel good about himself. 'We didn't stop laughing and had so much fun together. I'm so lucky to have this beautiful memory,' Argent wrote, adding that Hall had 'infectious energy' and that he 'loves and misses' him.
Hall joined the Towie cast in 2015 and left in 2024. He also ran a menswear brand called By Jake Hall. Tributes have poured in from friends and former co-stars, including Ryan Thomas, who shared a video compilation and praised Hall's 'class, charisma' and 'magic'. Thomas also promised to ensure Hall's eight-year-old daughter River grows up surrounded by love and stories about her father.
The mother of Hall's child, Misse Beqiri, posted a tribute on Instagram, saying her and her daughter's hearts were 'shattered' and describing how she loved Hall from the 'very first moment'. Other celebrities, including Vas J Morgan and Akin Solanke, also paid their respects.
