Albino Buffalo Resembling Donald Trump to Be Sacrificed for Eid
Albino Buffalo Like Trump to Be Sacrificed for Eid

A rare albino buffalo in Bangladesh, which has gained fame due to its striking resemblance to former US President Donald Trump, is scheduled to be sacrificed within days for the Muslim festival of Eid al-Adha. The animal, weighing approximately 1,500 pounds (700 kilograms), has become an online sensation after its flowing golden hair drew comparisons to the American leader, earning it the nickname 'Donald Trump'.

Celebrity Status and Daily Visitors

The bull, with its pinkish skin and blonde hairdo, attracts a constant stream of curious visitors to the farm where it resides near the capital city of Dhaka. Its owner, Zia Uddin Mridha, 38, explained that the animal was named by his brother due to its 'extraordinary hair'. 'My younger brother jokingly named it Donald Trump after seeing the hair on its head,' Mridha said. He added that the buffalo is very calm in nature, noting that albino buffaloes are generally peaceful and do not become aggressive unless provoked.

Throughout the month of May, people have been arriving in large numbers to see the animal. One visitor, who came with five friends and relatives, remarked, 'Truly, the features are similar between the buffalo and President Donald Trump.' Another fan mentioned that his nephew took a one-hour boat journey specifically to see the buffalo.

Impending Sacrifice for Eid al-Adha

Mridha has cared for the four-year-old animal for the past year, but the buffalo is now destined for slaughter alongside approximately 12 million livestock as Bangladesh prepares for Eid al-Adha, the second of the two main festivals in Islam. This year, the festival is expected to fall on May 26, with celebrations lasting three days. 'I am going to miss Donald Trump. But that is the core spirit of Eid al-Adha – making a sacrifice,' Mridha stated.

A visitor told the Prothom Alo newspaper, 'When I saw his pictures on Facebook, he looked exactly like Donald Trump. His facial structure and even hairstyle match that of Trump.' The buffalo's unique appearance has made it an unlikely social media star, but its fate is now sealed as part of the religious tradition.
