Adam Thomas Reveals Therapy After I'm A Celeb Bullying

Adam Thomas has revealed that he has started seeing a therapist after his experience on I'm A Celebrity: South Africa left him feeling changed and mentally affected. The former Emmerdale star was involved in several dramatic clashes during the spin-off series, including being regularly picked on by boxer David Haye.

Speaking on his podcast At Home With The Thomas Bro's on Wednesday, Thomas said: 'I'm not the same person as I was. It's changed me and that's no over-exaggeration. It's changed me. I'm in therapy now because of it. It's f***ed with me mentally because I just thought, 'How is this happening? I'm a 37-year-old man - how am I letting some other person do this to me in here?''

Referring to Haye's treatment, Thomas explained that in a different environment he would have left the situation, but in the jungle there was nowhere to hide. He said he asked his therapist why he never stuck up for himself, adding that he broke down in tears because he would have stood up for someone else but could not do it for himself.

Thomas also revealed that an unnamed campmate made him feel 'lonely' after they stopped talking to him. He said: 'It hurt my soul a lot because we were mates and then all of a sudden there were new campmates and he just f***ed me off a little bit. I was gutted about that.'

Earlier in the week, Thomas angrily confronted Jimmy Bullard during a trial after the footballer gave up, leading to both being eliminated. Thomas was later allowed to stay due to the unfair nature of his exit. Bullard has since claimed that the show edited down Thomas's outburst, with fellow campmate Sinitta saying she heard the c-word being used.
