Adam Thomas has spoken for the first time about his row with Jimmy Bullard on I'm A Celebrity, admitting that emotions got the better of him. The actor, 37, almost left the show after Jimmy quit during a trial together, but was given a reprieve by his campmates despite a foul-mouthed outburst.
Reflecting on the incident, Adam said: "It was just really random and unexpected to be honest. I didn't see it coming. Safe to say, I don't think I was too happy about it. The fact I felt like I was leaving because of someone else just really broke my heart more than anything as I wanted to do my kids proud." He added: "Emotions can get the better of you in there and in hindsight, I probably would never have reacted the way I did but I was just really upset."
On reaching the live final for the second time running, he said: "To get to the final again for the second time running really means a lot and I'm sure my whole family will be super proud of me." He also expressed disappointment at Scarlett leaving, saying: "That was a tough blow; I really wanted her to get to the final. I think if she got to the final she'd definitely be crowned legend of the jungle, because she's a little ray of sunshine."
The final sees Adam up against Harry Redknapp, Mo Farah and Craig Charles. Harry said: "It feels good to be in the final four. It was hard work and tough with the trials. It could have been anyone. It's a good final four." Mo echoed his sentiments, saying: "We started off with 12 amazing people and now we're left with only four. I see him almost like a father figure." He named the Celebrity Cyclone challenge as his highlight.
Craig Charles said: "I'm chuffed to be in the final four. I didn't think it would happen. I'm kind of shocked. It's stiff competition, but great company." He added: "Adam reminds me a bit of me when I was his age. We called ourselves 'Dad and Lad.'" I'm A Celebrity The Final airs on ITV and ITVX from 7.30pm on Friday night.
