Adam Thomas Breaks Silence on Jimmy Bullard I'm A Celeb Row
Adam Thomas on Jimmy Bullard Row: 'I Didn't See It Coming'

Adam Thomas has finally broken his silence regarding his heated row with Jimmy Bullard on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!, confessing that he did not anticipate the confrontation. The 37-year-old actor, who has secured a place in the live final, reflected on the incident that nearly led to his departure from the South African camp.

Emotions Running High

Thomas, who also faced verbal sparring with David Haye earlier in the series, described the clash with Bullard as unexpected. “It was just really random and unexpected to be honest. I didn't see it coming. Safe to say, I don't think I was too happy about it,” he said. The altercation occurred during a trial, after which Bullard quit, leaving Thomas on the brink of exit. However, his campmates granted him a reprieve despite his foul-mouthed outburst.

Reflecting on the emotional toll, Thomas added: “The fact I felt like I was leaving because of someone else just really broke my heart more than anything as I wanted to do my kids proud. Emotions can get the better of you in there and in hindsight, I probably would never have reacted the way I did but I was just really upset.”

Final Four Celebration

Despite the turmoil, Thomas expressed delight at reaching the final for the second consecutive time. “To get to the final again for the second time running really means a lot and I’m sure my whole family will be super proud of me,” he stated. He also lamented the departure of Scarlett, whom he believed could have been crowned the jungle legend. “That was a tough blow; I really wanted her to get to the final. I think if she got to the final she'd definitely be crowned legend of the jungle, because she's a little ray of sunshine,” he remarked.

The final four includes former football manager Harry Redknapp, Olympic champion Mo Farah, and actor Craig Charles. Redknapp commented: “It feels good to be in the final four. It was hard work and tough with the trials. It could have been anyone. It's a good final four. Craig and I really got on great; Adam was full of energy and Mo, you know... Sir Mo? What can you say? The most lovely man.”

Farah echoed the sentiment, saying: “We started off with 12 amazing people and now we’re left with only four. It was tough because I felt like I built great bonds with everyone. I’m really pleased to be in the final four among the others, especially Harry, who I admire. He’s a great human being and I could listen to his stories all day. I see him almost like a father figure.”

Charles, 61, expressed his surprise at reaching the final: “I’m chuffed to be in the final four. I didn’t think it would happen. I’m kind of shocked. It's stiff competition, but great company. Harry Redknapp, what a raconteur. I could listen to his stories all night. He could make the phone book sound interesting. Mo has a lovely, sweet soul and a great aura about him. Adam reminds me a bit of me when I was his age. We called ourselves ‘Dad and Lad.’”

The final of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! airs on ITV and ITVX at 7:30pm on Friday night.
