Kevin Keegan Revives 'Love It' Rant and 1979 Hit on A League Of Their Own

Kevin Keegan, the former England manager, made a lively appearance on Sky 1's A League Of Their Own, showcasing his enduring charisma through singing, dancing, and playful banter. The 63-year-old, who has been out of football management since 2008, joined Jamie Redknapp's red team on the show, which aired in September 2014.

Keegan was greeted by cricketer Andrew Flintoff running at him half-naked before the show began. Throughout the episode, he was teased for his infamous 'love it' rant aimed at Sir Alex Ferguson during his time as Newcastle manager in 1996, as well as his questionable haircuts as a player. Host James Corden showed a clip of Keegan performing his 1979 single 'Head Over Heels in Love', prompting Keegan to leap onto Redknapp's knee and deliver an a cappella version, joined by Corden, Flintoff, comedian Russell Howard, and actor Jack Whitehall.

Keegan gave as good as he got, teasing Corden about his weight, remarking that while intense training at Hamburg gave him a good physique, 'actually, not you' to the portly host. Redknapp expressed admiration for Keegan, calling him 'a legend. Like Wayne Rooney and Luis Suarez rolled into one.'

The show also featured Keegan and Redknapp coating Howard in lubricant before launching him into foam bowling pins, and the trio being hoisted in mid-air to perform dance moves while answering trivia questions. The episode concluded with Keegan performing his song again, jumping into the crowd to serenade the audience.
