Ghislaine Maxwell has been questioned by US government lawyers about the relationships of three British nationals with paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, according to sources. The interviews, conducted by Deputy US Attorney General Todd Blanche, focused on Epstein's UK associates during the 1990s and early 2000s.
One of the individuals is described as a “high-profile public figure” whose long-standing friendship with Epstein raised concern before his 2019 death. The other two are known to have spent significant time at Epstein's properties, including his private island in the Caribbean, Manhattan townhouse, and New Mexico ranch.
The interviews took place two weeks ago in Tallahassee, Florida, near the prison where Maxwell was held. Since then, she has been moved to a facility in Bryan, Texas. Sources say the Department of Justice is “pulling on threads that go far beyond just the Duke” of York, Prince Andrew.
Two of the Brits are understood to have flown on Epstein's private jet, the Lolita Express, multiple times. The third attended several dinners hosted by Epstein in New York and Palm Beach. The DoJ is seeking to understand why these individuals were in Epstein's orbit and what they may have witnessed or known.
Maxwell, 63, is serving a 20-year sentence for helping Epstein abuse young girls. She is reportedly seeking a presidential pardon and to have her 2022 conviction overturned. However, victims of Epstein have spoken out against any leniency, with Virginia Giuffre's family calling Maxwell a “monster who deserves to rot in prison”.
