Bernardo Silva Fires Premier League Title Warning to Arsenal After FA Cup Win
Silva Warns Arsenal After Man City's FA Cup Triumph

Manchester City star Bernardo Silva has warned Arsenal that his side will fight for the Premier League crown until the very end, following their FA Cup triumph over Chelsea on Saturday.

FA Cup Glory at Wembley

City secured the trophy once again at Wembley Stadium, with Antoine Semenyo's brilliant back-heel proving to be the winning goal in a slender victory. The win keeps alive Pep Guardiola's hopes of a domestic double, though City still trail Arsenal in the Premier League title race and need the Gunners to drop points in their final two games.

Silva's Determination

Outgoing City captain Silva, who is set to leave the club at the end of the season, spoke to BBC Sport after the match. He said: "Very special. I am really happy. Everything about my journey here at Man City was fantastic. Hopefully we can still have a small dream that we can fight for the Premier League."

Reflecting on his time at the club, Silva added: "Today we are very happy. It is just special for me, being my last season to give them another trophy. Hopefully, not the last one. Since I arrived it has been 20 trophies, so it is not bad. That was a fantastic goal. In a final there are no favourites. The beginning of the second half, they started really strong. They were putting us under constant pressure and it wasn't easy."

Praise for Guardiola

Speaking further to TNT Sports, the Portuguese midfielder also heaped praise on manager Pep Guardiola, who could also potentially leave the club at the end of the season. Silva said: "He changed the way I see football. 80% of my career was with him as my manager. All the things I hoped to achieve were with him. The relationship we have got is very strong with the frustrations and the achievements. I care a lot about Man City. That's his decision. It is not for me to comment on that. I wish all the best. I enjoy being with him having shared all these moments together."

Title Race Pressure

Silva acknowledged the difficult position City are in, but insisted they will keep fighting. He added: "It would mean a lot. It's not in our hands but our job is on Wednesday to do our job and put a bit of pressure on to make them win the game to be champions. But we are in a tough position."

City will be back in action on Tuesday evening as they take on Bournemouth, before rounding off their campaign against Aston Villa on the final day of the season.
