Welsh First Minister Faces Senedd Questions on Jobs, Puberty Blockers, and Clean Energy
Welsh FM Faces Senedd Questions on Jobs, Puberty Blockers

First Minister of Wales Rhun ap Iorwerth will appear before the Senedd on Wednesday to answer questions on a range of topics including recruitment, food security, animal welfare, and a review of higher education. The session, which begins at 1.30pm, is the weekly opportunity for Members of the Senedd (MSs) to question the First Minister on any subject.

Key Topics on the Agenda

Among the confirmed questions, clean energy, tourism, and political literacy will feature prominently. Conservative MS Natasha Asghar will ask: 'What action is the Welsh Government taking in light of the Supreme Court's ruling on the definition of biological sex?' Meanwhile, Reform UK's Paul Marr will question the First Minister about the provision of puberty blockers to children.

Most questions are selected through a ballot, with some published in advance. Opposition leaders also have the opportunity to quiz the First Minister directly. The session covers a wide array of issues, reflecting the concerns of both MSs and their constituents.
