Pink has confirmed that she and her family have relocated from Los Angeles to New York City to support her 14-year-old daughter Willow's Broadway aspirations. The singer, whose real name is Alecia Beth Moore, made the announcement during her guest-hosting stint on The Kelly Clarkson Show, which began on March 2.
During the episode, Pink performed the song "This Hopeless War" from the 2024 Broadway production of The Outsiders alongside Willow. She explained that the move was driven by her desire to be "an amazing mom" and allow Willow to study theatre and experience more Broadway shows.
Pink's family includes her husband Carey Hart, whom she married in 2006, and their nine-year-old son Jameson. The move comes as Pink temporarily takes over hosting duties on The Kelly Clarkson Show for a week, following Kelly Clarkson's announcement that the current season would be her last.
The episode also featured interviews with Tony winner Darren Criss, currently starring in the Broadway musical Maybe Happy Ending, and Broadway star Shoshana Bean, known for roles in Wicked and Waitress. Speculation has arisen that Pink may be considered as a permanent replacement for Clarkson, though no official confirmation has been made.
