GB News presenter Stephen Dixon was forced to step in during a heated debate as political commentators Nigel Nelson and Claire Pearsall clashed over Wes Streeting's urgent UK stockpile warning.
The row began after Nigel labelled the checklist a "sensible precaution" and described the ongoing Storm Austen as "just an example" of why the three-day food and water list was released.
Panel Disagreement
Claire slammed the suggestion, saying: "Come off it," while co-host Ellie Costello doubted: "Is that what they was talking about, Nigel?" Stephen argued: "No, he wasn't!"
Brushing off the backlash, Nigel hit back: "Hang on, hang on. This is what Wes Streeting was talking about, he was talking about cyber attacks, climate change, and extreme weather conditions. There are all sorts of things that could actually happen, that could mean you ought to be worried about not having enough supplies in."
Three-Day Question
Claire then questioned: "Well, why the specific three days? What is it about three days because if you're talking about the apocalypse, I think you're going to need longer than three days' worth of supplies."
Nigel responded: "Well, if the apocalypse comes, it won't matter anyway, so on that basis," before Claire refuted his weather claim, stating: "That isn't going to make people leave their homes."
