The couple's connection dates back to 2001 when Campbell's family relocated to Australia from Malawi. Lainchbury played a crucial role in the triple Olympic gold medallist's decision to return to competitive swimming following an 18-month hiatus after the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.

The wedding festivities unfolded across two separate events. The first ceremony took place at Palm Beach's Lilypad, a unique floating boat villa situated on Pittwater Bay. This intimate gathering included only immediate family members and the bridal party.
"The aisle walk of my dreams," Campbell wrote on Instagram. "Brought in by boat to my waiting friends, family and husband to be."
One week later, the couple hosted what they called the "White Party" at North Bondi Surf Lifesaving Club, creating a vibrant contrast to their initial intimate ceremony.
Last-Minute Planning Perfection
Despite the rushed preparations, Campbell expressed delight with how everything came together. "All of this came together quite last minute," she revealed. "The flowers I ordered the day before, the microphone got left behind, the shoes purchased with two days left. But it came together better than I could have imagined."

Melbourne-based bridal studio Lola Varma provided Campbell's wedding dress, which the athlete described as making her feel "like myself, but my absolute most elevated self" in an interview with Vogue Australia.
The White Party location allowed Campbell to fulfill her wish for a swim during the celebrations. "After the swim, I wore a gold sequin Shona Joy set that I saw two days before and knew would be perfect," she explained. "The White Party was all about fun and joy, hence yellow and lots of sequins."
