Trump's Turkey Escape: Natalie Harp's Role in Secret Plane Swap

Donald Trump's secret plane out of Ankara included a select entourage, among them his executive assistant Natalie Harp, a 35-year-old blonde woman known as "the human printer". The nickname stems from her habit of printing out papers for Trump, often flattering news stories, at any time of day or night.

Who is Natalie Harp?

Harp is an exceptionally visible member of the administration despite not having a public-facing role, simply because she is almost always where Trump is. She is often seen in the background with an armful of A4 printouts, neatly paper clipped together and ready to deploy.

Previously a presenter for One America News Network, a right-wing outlet, she would often end her show with a Bible verse or a quote from Trump, introducing his outbursts as if he were a divine prophet: "Remember what Trump said..."

Her Path to the White House

Harp came onto Trump's radar by praising him over legislation she said had allowed her to get experimental treatment for bone cancer. She joined his 2024 campaign as an aide, and from there was hired by the administration as an executive assistant to the President.

The New York Times' Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan reported in their book Regime Change that she left "intimate letters" to Trump during the campaign. "You are all that matters to me," she is said to have written. "I don't ever want to let you down...I want to bring you joy." The Secret Service were reportedly perturbed by the letters, left for him in his "personal spaces".

Closeness and Claims

There are tales of her eagerness to be close to Trump, including setting up a bed in the women's locker room at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, in 2023 when she was not given a room. There are varying claims about her access to his social media accounts and other communications, such as texts and emails.

Trump, early in his second term, is said to have told his team that Natalie was "the only one who loved him as much as his wife and his kids."
