Ossoff Slams Trump Over Trips With Aide Natalie Harp
Ossoff Attacks Trump Over 'Flying Palace' Trips With Harp

Georgia Senator Jon Ossoff has launched a blistering attack on President Donald Trump's relationship with close aide Natalie Harp, during a campaign rally speech. Ossoff, a long-standing critic of Trump, unleashed a barrage of criticism, spanning from the duration of sailors' deployments to Trump's travel with Harp.

Ossoff's Remarks

"And while the sailors on the Lincoln [aircraft carrier] fight his war, while he fruitlessly drains our munitions and oil reserves, the president sleeps through his meetings. He golfs and trades stocks. See, he doesn't want to do the job; he wants to build his ballroom and travel with Natalie on their apparently defenseless flying palace gifted by the Emir of Qatar," Ossoff declared, drawing applause from those assembled.

The attack follows revelations this month that Harp was among the privileged few to journey with Trump as he departed from Air Force One to board a decoy aircraft via a catering lorry. The 35-year-old was part of an exclusive group from Trump's inner circle to join him as he left a NATO summit aboard a military aircraft due to an Iranian assassination threat.

White House Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino and Walt Nauta, the director of Oval Office operations, also travelled with the president, as reported by The Washington Post. The president was transported on the decoy aircraft, and even certain White House staff members were unaware that he was not aboard the same aeroplane, the Daily Mail reported.

Harp has cultivated a close bond with the president that has attracted considerable scrutiny. Numerous individuals, including her own brother, Preston Harp, have alleged she maintains an "unhealthy" relationship with President Trump.

Harp's Role

Harp is referred to as the "human printer," according to the book "Regime Change" by authors Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan. She is said to frequently print out favourable, right-wing articles, social media posts, and other complimentary material about Trump. Alongside the portable printer, Harp purportedly carries a laptop constantly to supply the president with information on demand.

According to the book, Trump has been quite open about displaying his affection for Harp. One passage described how Trump had "taken to telling his staff that Natalie (or 'Nathalie,' as he would call her, using a French pronunciation) was the only one who loved him as much as his wife and kids. 'All of you will go off and make money,' he would say. 'She'll never leave me.'" Trump biographer Michael Wolff also reported that Harp slipped the president awkward notes, including one that read, "You are all that matters to me." Harp also allegedly messaged the president that she never wants to "let you down."

Meanwhile, Trump's 'breaking point' with Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt was revealed after his tactics backfired before her shock resignation.
