Jimmy Bullard is said to be pursuing legal action against ITV and used Friday's chaotic live All Stars final to gather evidence, according to sources. The 47-year-old former footballer accused the broadcaster of protecting eventual winner Adam Thomas with the show's edit and not providing a fair representation of their row.
During the live final, Bullard repeatedly described Adam's conduct as 'abusive, aggressive and intimidating' - a key phrase used in celebrities' contracts to define unacceptable behaviour. Sources claim he was also seen glancing at his phone, possibly checking notes or recording the clash for further evidence.
Hosts Ant and Dec rejected Bullard's characterisation, with Ant stating he did not agree and that Adam's language had been 'un-broadcastable'. ITV insisted the programme showed an accurate and fair representation of events, while Adam acknowledged emotions ran high and took 'full responsibility' for his actions.
Craig Charles, who finished fourth, described the incident as 'deeply traumatic' and said Adam was 'so wound up, so aggressive, like a coiled spring'. He added that ITV had to water down what viewers saw. Following the final, Gemma Collins branded David and Jimmy's behaviour 'disgusting'.
