Burnham attacked over migrant housing plan in GB News rant

Patrick Christys has called out the prime minister, declaring, "I don't know how Andy Burnham sleeps at night," over Labour's handling of the migrant crisis. Returning to GB News on Monday, the journalist recalled that last year, an elderly man was sexually assaulted by an Eritrean illegal migrant on the grounds of a church in Harrow.

Christys' Furious Rant

Explaining that Bruke Desalange - who was given indefinite leave to remain in the UK in 2022 - had since been convicted of rape, Christys erupted in a furious rant. "Look, we have to face facts. It's not just women and girls who need to be protected from some of these illegal immigrants. Apparently, it's elderly men as well," the TV star fumed.

Following the rape of an elderly man by an Eritrean illegal migrant, Christys slammed Burnham's suggestion that all areas of the country need to house a fair share of migrants. "And what is Andy Burnham's plan?" he continued, before panning onto a clip of the PM saying that more communities across the county should "play their part" in the housing of migrants.

Questioning the Plan

"So, he just wants to spread this problem outright across the UK into little villages and middle-class areas. They need to play their part, do they? They need to share the burden. Share the burden of what?" Christys questioned, "The burden of vulnerable male pensioners being raped outside churches?"

Noting that the Labour leader had failed to acknowledge the pleas of Piddington's residents, the broadcaster directly addressed viewers. "I ask you this: if an Eritrean man who has been given everything by this country is capable of raping a man in his 60s in public by a church, then what could some of these completely random illegal migrants be capable of doing in a remote little village near a primary school?"

Viewer Reactions

Christys added, "If I were Andy Burnham, I would not be able to sleep at night worrying about this. I think he's probably just fast asleep, actually, dreaming of buses." Following his furious rant, viewers took to X in response. "WTF. This is about as low as it can go, sick so bloody sick, that poor man!" wrote one. "Play their part. What part???? No one wants a part of this!" added another. Meanwhile, a third commented: "Brilliant monologue as always, Patrick. Keep up the Excellent work. Keep safe."

Desalagne, from Eritrea, pleaded guilty to raping the victim at around midnight on July 23 last year and is due to be sentenced in the autumn.
