Attack Details
Authorities in Novorossiysk stated that falling drone debris caused the blaze, which injured two individuals. The facility was not named by officials, but unverified images from Astra showed smoke rising above the terminal. Ukraine has not commented on the attack.
Broader Context
Ukraine has intensified its long-range strike capabilities using domestically developed drones and missiles against Russian oil assets that fund the invasion. Such attacks have become almost daily occurrences.
Separately, the death toll from a Ukrainian drone strike on a college dormitory in Starobilsk, Luhansk, rose to 11, according to Moscow-installed officials. President Vladimir Putin condemned the strike as a "crime" and ordered military retaliation proposals. Ukraine's Ambassador to the UN, Melnyk Andrii, denied war crime accusations, calling the Russian claims "pure propaganda" and asserting that the operations targeted the Russian war machine.
