American Tourist Beaten to Death in Bangkok Love Triangle Attack
An American tourist was allegedly beaten to death by four men in a brutal attack linked to a love triangle at a popular holiday location in Thailand.
Fatal Confrontation Outside Bangkok Shop
Stein Heath Cole, a 54-year-old from California, was seen pleading with his ex-girlfriend, 24-year-old Nan Phawt Ar Cho, to take him back on February 16. The encounter turned deadly when her current partner, 26-year-old Saw Nay Lin Oo, and three other Burmese men allegedly pounced on Cole outside a second-hand shop in Bangkok at approximately 4:30 pm on Monday.
According to reports, the group battered Cole to death with a metal pole, leaving him in a pool of blood on the pavement. Police arriving at Soi Suk Sawat 26 found Cole's corpse with five stab wounds and both legs broken. Officers recovered a 10-inch knife and a 3-foot metal pipe near the scene.
Police Apprehend Suspect at Scene
The alleged primary attacker, Saw Nay Lin Oo, was hauled into a police pickup truck at the location. The incident has shocked the local community and raised concerns about tourist safety in the area.
