Russia has unleashed a massive wave of drone attacks on Ukraine, launching over 1,500 unmanned aerial vehicles at cities across the country in the past 48 hours. This marks the largest aerial assault over a two-day period since the war began, with Kyiv bearing the brunt of the onslaught.
Civilian Infrastructure Targeted
The attacks have deliberately targeted civilian infrastructure, including schools, a veterinary clinic, and residential buildings. At least 13 people have been killed and dozens more wounded over the two-day period, according to Ukrainian officials.
President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the strikes, stating: "These actions are definitely not the actions of those who believe the war is coming to an end." He also reported that a United Nations humanitarian vehicle was attacked twice by Russian drones in the southern city of Kherson.
