The police statement clarified: 'Detectives are investigating a historical sexual assault that occurred in Melbourne in 2010. Police have been told the incident occurred at a licensed premises in Melbourne’s CBD. As the investigation remains ongoing, it would be inappropriate to comment further at this stage.'
Ruby Rose's Public Statements and Police Request
Ruby Rose, now 40 years old, publicly alleged that Katy Perry, 41, sexually assaulted her when she was in her early twenties during a night out. Following her formal complaint, Rose announced on the Threads social media platform that she can no longer discuss the matter publicly due to standard police procedures.
She wrote: 'Last update on this: As of this afternoon, I have finalized all of my reports. This means I am no longer able to comment, repost, or talk publicly about any of those cases, or the individuals involved. It's going to look like I am ignoring everything from supportive messages, to other people's experiences, but I'm not.'
Rose added that the police request actually provides some relief, stating: 'This is a standard request from the police and in many ways, quite the relief. I can start the healing process now. And temporarily move forward. I love you all so much.'

Katy Perry has vehemently denied all allegations through her representatives, who issued a strong statement characterizing Rose's claims as completely false and dangerous.
