Meghan to Attend Memorial for Children Lost Online

The Duchess of Sussex is scheduled to attend the opening of the Lost Screen Memorial in Geneva, Switzerland, this Sunday. She will be joined by Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organisation (WHO), at the event.

Memorial Details

The memorial features an installation of 50 illuminated lightboxes, each displaying the mobile phone lockscreen image of a child who tragically died due to online violence and digital harm. The Duchess will pay tribute to the children remembered in the installation and underscore the urgent need for stronger global protections for children online.

Co-hosts and Purpose

Co-hosted by the WHO and Archewell Philanthropies, the memorial aims to highlight measurable and preventable harms associated with online violence against children, including cyberbullying and sextortion. The event seeks to raise awareness and drive action for safer digital environments for young people worldwide.
