Meghan Markle has delighted fans by sharing a heartwarming photo of her daughter, Princess Lilibet, as she prepares for an upcoming trip to Europe. The Duchess of Sussex posted the image on her social media, showing Lilibet on the floor of her wardrobe, helping with her mother's shoes. The caption read 'Mama's little helper' alongside a purple heart emoji.
The sweet snapshot comes ahead of Meghan's visit to Geneva, Switzerland, where she will attend the Lost Screen Memorial on Sunday. The event, hosted by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and Archewell Philanthropies, aims to highlight the urgent need for stronger global protections for children online. Meghan will join WHO director-general Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus for the opening ceremony.
The memorial features 50 illuminated lightboxes, each displaying the mobile phone lockscreen image of a child who lost their life due to online violence and digital harm. Guests include global health leaders, ministers, and families affected by online harm. Meghan's office stated that she will pay tribute to the children remembered in the installation.
The event is also run in partnership with The Parents’ Network, a community of bereaved families advocating for safer online spaces for children. The foundation emphasised that the memorial seeks to highlight the measurable and preventable harms associated with online violence against children, including cyberbullying, grooming, and sextortion.
Geneva mayor Alfonso Gomez Cruz, several health ministers, and child safety advocates will attend. Online child safety advocate Amy Neville, whose son Alexander is among the children featured in the exhibition, will be among the speakers. A digital companion will help visitors hear the stories of the children in the memorial.
