The Duke of Sussex has donated $500,000 (£369,000) from his and Meghan's Archewell foundation to support injured children in Gaza and Ukraine. The grants will aid the World Health Organisation with medical evacuations and fund prosthetics development for young blast victims.
The announcement coincided with Harry's visit to Imperial College London's Centre for Blast Injury Studies on Wednesday. He toured labs and joined a roundtable with Save the Children and WHO officials, discussing child amputees and rehabilitation.
Harry highlighted Gaza's record number of child amputees, stating: 'No single organisation can solve this alone. It takes partnerships across government, science, medicine, humanitarian response and advocacy to ensure children survive and recover.'
The three grants include $200,000 for WHO medical evacuations from Gaza to Jordan, $150,000 for Save the Children's Gaza humanitarian work, and $150,000 for the Centre of Blast Injury Studies to develop prosthetics for children injured in Ukraine and Gaza.
Harry also met his father King Charles for tea at Clarence House, their first reunion in 19 months. The visit followed a £1.1m personal donation to BBC Children in Need on Tuesday.
