Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has expressed gratitude to G7 leaders for what he described as "strong ideas on how to force Russia into peace." In a social media post following a G7-Ukraine discussion in France, Zelenskyy thanked fellow leaders for their time and the productive dialogue.
Key Priorities Outlined
Zelenskyy emphasized several key priorities agreed upon during the talks. These include the provision of more air defense missiles, along with licenses to produce them, a winter support package for Ukraine, and increasing pressure on Russia. He noted that the United States is prepared to provide a backstop across these lines of effort.
Implementation Crucial
The Ukrainian leader stressed the importance of implementing all discussed measures. "It is key that everything discussed be implemented," he said, adding that Russia must learn that its war will never be normalized. Zelenskyy concluded by thanking everyone who is helping Ukraine in its struggle.
