Comedian Vic Reeves, 62, has revealed plans to renew his marriage vows with wife Nancy Sorrell, 46, following the birth of their grandson Angus eight weeks ago. The couple, who married in 2003, are considering a ceremony in the Lake District, a location they have visited frequently over the years.
Reeves, whose real name is Jim Moir, has three children with Sorrell: 15-year-old twins Beth and Nell. He also has daughter Alice and son Louis from his first marriage to Sarah Vincent. A photo shared by Alice on Instagram shows the comedian smiling proudly with her and baby Angus.
The comedian expressed a desire for Angus to serve as a page boy at the vow renewal. He jokingly suggested creating a glam rock-themed outfit for the infant, reminiscent of a glitter suit with zigzags and platform boots.
Reeves described his wife as his 'best friend' and emphasised the importance of marrying a best friend. He noted they 'always make romantic gestures' and have never had a cross word. Nancy Sorrell previously hinted at celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary in 2023 with a party or family gathering, reflecting their love for hosting dinner parties.
The couple met in 2001 while Reeves was presenting the TV programme I Love 1991 with Bob Mortimer. Reeves recalled asking for two models on set, which led to him meeting Sorrell, and they 'hit it off straight away'.
