Russia has reportedly suffered a devastating loss of around 100 security service officers killed or wounded in a strike on an FSB headquarters in Ukraine. Footage appears to show the Ukrainian 'Armageddon' hit on the Putin spy headquarters in the occupied Kherson region.
Details of the Attack
The attack was carried out by drones from Kyiv's SBU security service, triggering dramatic explosions and destroying a multi-storey building and several others. The operation targeted a headquarters of Russian FSB officers and a Pantsir-S1 air defence system, both located in temporarily occupied Ukrainian territory.
Zelensky's Response
Volodymyr Zelensky hailed the results of the strike. He stated: 'A headquarters of Russian FSB officers was struck and a Pantsir-S1 air defence system was destroyed in our temporarily occupied territory. Thanks to this operation alone, Russian losses amount to around 100 occupiers killed and wounded. The Russians must feel that they have to end this war of theirs.'
Zelensky also vowed more strikes deep into Putin's territory if the Kremlin refuses to negotiate peace. 'Ukrainian medium- and long-range sanctions will continue to work,' he warned.
Reactions and Impact
Telegram channel Ukraine Context dubbed the attack 'carpet bombing' of the FSB HQ in Kherson region. 'Result: around 100 Russians — killed and wounded. Operation carried out by the SBU's Alpha unit. Simply Armageddon.'
The famed Russian Pantsir-S1 system, used to guard Putin's multiple palaces, failed to halt the strike and was itself reportedly destroyed. There was no initial response from Russian sources to the strike.
