John Fury, father of boxers Tyson and Tommy Fury, has become a household name following his antics at a press conference for Tommy's fight with KSI, and the release of the Netflix series 'At Home With The Furys'. The 59-year-old former professional boxer and bare-knuckle fighter destroyed the stage at the event, swearing at KSI and throwing tables off stage.
John Fury's past includes a prison sentence for gouging a man's eye out during a brawl in 2010, the culmination of a 12-year feud. He was sentenced to 11 years in 2011 but released in 2015 after serving less than half. His victim was left visually impaired. Tyson Fury supported his father from the public gallery during the trial.
Born in Tuam, Galway, Ireland, into a family of Irish Traveller heritage, John moved to Manchester at age four. He made his boxing debut in 1987 and fought 13 bouts over eight years, including victories over future title challengers. He claims to have once won £100,000 from a bare-knuckle fight.
John has seven children from two relationships: four with ex-wife Amber (Tyson, Shane, Hugh, and Ramona, who died in infancy) and three with current wife Chantal, including Tommy.
