As the couple approached the moving staircase, it suddenly stopped when President Trump stepped on. While he appeared confused, Melania quickly began climbing the static escalator, prompting the President to follow her lead.
Social media users praised her actions. One X user declared: 'Melania is a BOSS for that move.' Another commented: 'Love how she takes charge and starts climbing.' A third added: 'Melania doesn’t miss a beat and starts climbing the stairs. She’s wonderful!'
The incident came alongside a separate technical issue: President Trump's teleprompter malfunctioned during his speech. He remarked: 'I don't mind making this speech without a teleprompter, because the teleprompter is not working.' He warned that 'whoever is operating this teleprompter is in big trouble.'
