Former President Donald Trump erupted in anger during a press encounter aboard Air Force One, directing his fury at two female journalists who pressed him for details about a recent and unexplained MRI scan. The incident has intensified scrutiny over the 79-year-old's health and transparency.
Confrontation in the Air: 'I Have No Idea'
The heated exchange occurred on Sunday, 1st December 2025, as reporters questioned Trump about a medical scan he underwent last month at the Walter Reed Military Medical Centre. The White House had previously described the visit as part of a routine annual physical, despite it being his second such examination this year. Officials provided no explanation for why the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) was ordered.
When asked directly what part of his body was imaged, Trump initially brushed off the inquiry. "I have no idea," he stated. The situation escalated when a reporter mentioned comments from Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, who has urged the release of the MRI results. Trump dismissed Walz as "the incompetent governor" and claimed he was fine with releasing the scan, which he described as "perfect."
Targeting 'Failing' News Outlets
Standing beside him, NewsNation correspondent Libbey Dean persisted, asking for the reason behind the scan. Medical experts have noted that MRIs are not standard in routine check-ups and are typically prompted by specific symptoms or concerns. Visibly irritated, Trump turned on Dean.

Healthcare professionals have expressed disbelief at Trump's repeated insistence that he is unaware of which part of his body was examined. Dr Vin Gupta, a prominent medical analyst and former Chief Medical Officer at Amazon, dismissed the explanation outright.
"You know when you get an MRI what part of your body is going into the very narrow part of that MRI scanner because you hear it. You have to be in there for, you know, anywhere from 15 to 45 minutes," Dr Gupta explained, casting significant doubt on the president's account.
This confrontation is the latest in a series of clashes between Trump and female journalists. The episode has drawn criticism from press freedom advocates and fueled ongoing concerns about the president's volatility and the lack of clarity surrounding his health, as questions about his mental fitness continue to mount.
