Claudia Winkleman, host of The Traitors, has described the victory of Rachel and Stephen as 'incredibly moving' after the pair shared the prize pot. The 2026 series saw 22 new contestants enter Ardross Castle, with Rachel and Stephen ultimately winning as traitors, each taking home just under £48,000.
In the final, James was banished after he and Rachel lifted chests simultaneously, revealing he had been a faithful. Jade and Faraaz followed, with Jack leaving after a tearful banishment by Stephen. The final three saw Rachel and Stephen declared winners, with Claudia emotionally congratulating them.
Speaking on spin-off show The Traitors: Uncloaked, Winkleman praised their alliance: 'I found their end and their love for each other incredibly moving. They made that alliance. We've never seen that before.' She compared them to Bonnie and Clyde, noting they 'stuck together' as 'lovers in the turret'.
Rachel said of the pact: 'I knew from the minute it came out of my mouth I wouldn't break it.' Stephen added: 'I was really struggling to see how Rachel could hold onto that pact for the whole game... I'm just so glad she's a woman of her word.'
