Strictly Axes Nadiya Bychkova Over Alleged Backstage Tantrums

Former Strictly Come Dancing professional Nadiya Bychkova has reportedly been dropped from the show following allegations of backstage tantrums. The 36-year-old dancer, who joined the BBC series in 2017, is said to have been part of a major cast shake-up after months of controversy behind the scenes.

According to sources, Nadiya's departure left her devastated. She later confirmed on Instagram that she plans to focus on 'new projects' and spend more time with her daughter, Mila. The BBC has offered her a choreography role on the show, but it remains unclear whether she will accept.

Nadiya is now said to be in talks to join this year's series of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! on ITV. A TV insider claimed the dancer had previously been unable to consider the show due to her Strictly commitments, but is now attracting interest from multiple broadcasters.

ITV executives are reportedly keen to secure Nadiya for the upcoming jungle series, impressed by her popularity with viewers. However, ITV has said no official casting decisions have been confirmed.

Nadiya partnered celebrities including Davood Ghadami, Matt Goss, Dan Walker and Lee Ryan during her time on Strictly, but never won the Glitterball Trophy. Her exit came alongside fellow professionals Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk and Michelle Tsiakkas.

Meanwhile, Strictly is preparing for a major relaunch later this year after long-serving hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman stepped down. New hosts Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe and Johannes Radebe are confirmed to take over.
