Hollywood’s biggest stars gathered in Los Angeles for the Women’s Cancer Research Fund’s Unforgettable Evening 2026 gala, where Jennifer Lopez made a surprise appearance to honour Kerry Washington with the Courage Award.
The event, held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel, saw Kerry Washington receive the award from her childhood friend Jennifer Lopez. The pair grew up together in the Bronx, attending the Boys and Girls Club. Kerry’s mother, Valerie, is a breast cancer survivor after a 2004 diagnosis, inspiring Kerry’s advocacy. Jennifer recalled how Kerry credited her for teaching her to dance and praised the power of science and support.
Guests enjoyed a menu of salmon carpaccio and roasted chicken, followed by a dance party headlined by Demi Lovato. The pink carpet was filled with celebrities including Carmen Electra, Sofia Vergara, Kyle Richards, Amber Valletta, Lori Loughlin, and Rhea Seehorn, all dressed in stunning gowns.
Carmen Electra wore a sleek white satin gown with delicate draping, while Sofia Vergara opted for a strapless leopard-print dress. Kerry Washington made a fashion statement in a sculptural copper satin mini dress with crystal embellishments and an oversized bow. Kyle Richards chose a sheer black gown with shimmering vertical details, and Amber Valletta wore a draped pink evening gown. Lori Loughlin dazzled in a black-and-white gown with bold curved detailing, and Rhea Seehorn impressed in a sleek black gown with modern draping.
