‘Sinners’ Triumphs at 2026 Actor Awards; ‘The Studio’ and ‘The Pitt’ Lead TV Winners

‘Sinners’, a vampire film set in the segregated American South, won the top prize for best ensemble in a motion picture at the 2026 Actor Awards on Sunday. Its star Michael B. Jordan was named best lead actor for his dual role as bootlegging twins.

On the television side, comedy series ‘The Studio’ took three awards, including best ensemble in a comedy series, while medical drama ‘The Pitt’ secured two prizes, including best ensemble in a drama series. The awards, previously known as the Screen Actors Guild Awards, are presented by SAG-AFTRA.

Jessie Buckley won best lead actress for her role as a grieving mother in ‘Hamnet’. Supporting actor prizes went to Sean Penn for his villainous turn in ‘One Battle After Another’ and Amy Madigan for playing a witch in ‘Weapons’. In an upset, Keri Russell took best lead actress in a drama series for ‘The Diplomat’.

Harrison Ford received the Lifetime Achievement Award, joking he was being recognised for “being alive”. The ceremony, hosted by Kristen Bell for Netflix, included a sombre note as executive director Duncan Crabtree-Ireland expressed thoughts for those affected by the ongoing war between the US, Israel, and Iran.
