The BBC has confirmed the full line-up for the second series of The Celebrity Traitors, with Sharon Rooney among the 21 famous faces heading to the castle. The show, hosted by Claudia Winkleman, returns later this year on BBC One and iPlayer.
Rooney, known for her roles in My Mad Fat Diary and Barbie, will join a diverse cast including BAFTA and BRIT award winners, social media stars, actors, comedians and presenters. The celebrities will compete for a cash prize of up to £100,000 for their chosen charities, playing the ultimate game of deception and betrayal.
The first series of The Celebrity Traitors, which aired in October 2025, was a major hit, averaging 14.9 million viewers across its run and peaking at 15.4 million for the finale. It became the top entertainment episode since 2016 and the number one series across all genres and platforms in 2025.
Meanwhile, the fourth series of the original The Traitors, broadcast in January 2026, achieved a 28-day average of 12.5 million viewers, up 22% on the third series. BBC iPlayer drove 53% of its viewing, with 6.6 million viewers.
The second series of The Celebrity Traitors (10 x 60 minutes) is produced by Studio Lambert Scotland for BBC One and iPlayer. It was commissioned by Kalpna Patel-Knight, Head of Entertainment Commissioning for the BBC, with executive producers Mike Cotton, Sarah Fay, Lewis Thurlow and Katy Fox.
