YouTuber Saffron Barker has suggested that her ex-boyfriend, former Wales rugby international Louis Rees-Zammit, may have been unfaithful during their relationship. On her podcast Sex, Lies, and DM Slides, Barker hinted that she expected Rees-Zammit to propose, but the couple split in March 2024 after about six months together.
Barker told co-host Anastasia Kingsnorth: “I was adamant that my ex who I wasn't with for very long was going to propose to me. Very quickly – and we were together for about six months.” Kingsnorth replied that she thought she would be at a wedding next year, to which Barker said: “No seriously, everyone thought that. So when we all got the news we got it was big shock factor I can assure you.”
The pair went public after the 2023 Rugby World Cup and attended a film premiere together. Barker even got Rees-Zammit's initials tattooed on her arm. However, after the split, she deleted photos of the tattoo and liked a follower's comment insinuating that the rugby player had cheated. Neither party has publicly addressed the cheating rumours.
Rees-Zammit announced in January 2024 that he was leaving rugby to pursue a career in the NFL. He signed a three-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs in May and has been training with quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The 23-year-old is competing for a spot on the Chiefs' 53-man active roster for the upcoming season.
